Access roles - overview

In Upwave you have three main access roles on the workspace level. These are:

  • Super Admin
  • Admin
  • Member

Please note that this applies to the Workspace level, which is the topmost level in Upwave. For an overview of the different levels in Upwave, refer to this overview.

Super Admin

The role of Super Admin has access to admin.upwave.io in order to manage users, security and billing.

Workspace Super Admins can also list “Private” Boards within a Team, and access them.

This role was named "Admin" until September 18th 2019.

Admin role

This role behaves somewhat similar to Super Admin, but with more limited access. A workspace Admin has access to admin.upwave.io in order to manage users, security and billing.

However, this role can only access Teams and Boards of which that they are a member.  Workspace Admins cannot see or access “Private” Boards and Teams.

This is a new role, available from September 18th 2019.

Member

A workspace member can access boards and teams they are a member of. They can also view Teams and Boards which are set to visible.
